The ladders pattern is the first time I introduced my grandmother to the magical world of blogging. Spending the weekend with her and these patterns created an inner sense of calm for me, we were time traveling right there in the basement. The feeling was extraordinary, heady even – she easily translated gibberish into intelligent thought, she understood her mother in law and helped me to understand her as well.
The pattern was not posted, I hadn’t yet realized that the hilarity I found in reading her work could be shared by other knitters. So instead, I shall share the pattern with you now.
