 * * I Have Been Negligent! * *

Oh friends and neighbors, I am so sorry for dropping a giveaway in your laps and then disappearing for days – this is the first time I have ever done that. You know, if there wasn’t a natural disaster occurring that is 🙂

I would love to give you a really good excuse like 1) I worked 60 hours last week or 2) I have almost 40 orders for ruffle scarves or 3) I was at the Mid-Ohio Fiber Fair and lost in a great euphoria of fiber and yarn or 4) I was crazy busy getting ready to get Trevor ready for work, which starts tomorrow.

But honestly it was a bit of laziness. I should have been able to keep up with reading all your wonderful posts and promoting the giveaway every day but I was just so burnt out that I felt kind of foggy all the time. I like to put a piece of myself in my posts, and all my pieces were just a little too tired to do it justice. For that I feel a bit guilty – okay, a lot guilty. Hopefully this week will slow down enough that I can give all of you the attention your blogs deserve and make a post that won’t bore you to tears.

It’ll be a busy week! The giveaway ends Wednesday at 11:59 and Thursday a post announcing the winner and listing all the wonderful shops and small business will be listed for your viewing pleasure. I am so excited to see how it turns out and who I am going to get to make a care package for! After that it on to more ruffle scarves!

Cannot wait to catch up with every single last one of you, I’ve missed you through my haze of ruffles! 🙂

              The iPad is worse! If I hadn’t gotten that thing from my mother and father in law I would set it on fire!

              (not really, I love it. But WordPress….good grief what a pain!)

                  It’s a bit glitchy with WordPress, but all the other apps seem to work in fairly good order. I would never have bought one myself (I am far too cheap for that) but I’ll tell you, it is pretty darn handy!

      Thank you! I know it shouldn’t be stressful, I guess I am just in that mindset. The online community has been so amazing that not reading your work feels downright sinful 🙂

              Amen to that! I have this huge family and I just can’t seem to manage anything except them. Actually – and this is embarrassing – by I dread the holidays. 3 birthdays, 2 anniversaries, Christmas, Christmas Eve, Caroling, Hallelujah Choir with my Grandmother, baking, cooking, cleaning, wrapping….by the time the holidays are over I feel like I ran two marathons back to back – with a 200lb frozen turkey strapped to my back!

      Of course, especially since I bushed out and forgot about your email – that was a Sh!t thing to do and I’m sorry. It would’ve been hard to poke holes though, I’ve always enjoyed your writing and find it this great jumping off platform for conversation. I wouldn’t want to strip your writing of that.

        lol I almost forgot about that you slacker! (of course you’re not slacking, you bushed out because you’ve got so much to do and I just had to point that out for what reason I don’t know because you’re obviously smart and all.)

        Hmm. lost my train of thought. Dang half-circles. I’m getting pretty critical of my own writing, I think because I don’t have enough time to really go over it a dozen times anymore. That’s why I ask, but I’ve also realized that deadlines on prompts means I can’t get them alpha-read, realistically. I’ll save it for when I start flashing my novel some day.

    Very understandable. We all get like that sometimes. This blogging should be fun, a hobby not work. 🙂 Interested in your ruffles. I have a few oddments of ruffle yarn I have been given might get some pointers from you one day.

    hey, no worries, we all have times like that. No point writing if you have nothing to say, right? Glad you are almost through your busy week. Hope Trevor LOVES work and they love him, and that you dig your way out of the ruffles!

    When I saw your post I entirely connected. I myself have been very neglectful of my blog and entirely smelled your internal self-guilt trip all the way over hear in Florida (or was that my guilt, LOL). Anyhow, breathe out the stress and in the energy because as you can tell you have a lot of people that like what you have to say and how you say it. Me amongst them 🙂

    I can just agree with all the other comments. Don’t you worry. If you don’t feel like blogging, you don’t. And if you feel like it and have stories to tell, you’ll do. And after all, if you have stories to tell but can’t find the time and energy to do so in that moment nobody says you can’t blog with a retrospective view. Look at my 31 days nail challenge, I didn’t do that everyday. I simply prepared things ahead and this is why I’ll have made it through 31 posts (plus 3 from Mallorca) in 31 days in a few days.
    Other than that congrats to your hubby and interesting thoughts in the comments about the ipad and wordpress. I haven’t tried to use it for blogging yet (got one from my parents and wouldn’t have bought one myself either). I prefer using my laptop as editing seems easier here and I use my phone when I’m away, which makes it always a surprise how my posts look when I’m back at a computer 😉
